What will I bedoing?
As Front Office Agent,you will assist in daily Front Office operations and work withcustomers and Guests as part of a project used to demonstrate yourabilities to work in the hotel management sector. A Front OfficeIntern is responsible for managing the first impressions of ourGuests and, therefore, must perform the following tasks to thehighest standards:
- Ensureaccurate and efficient running of reception including check in/outprocedures
- Respond to Guest queries in a timelyand efficient manner
- Ensure that both the FrontOffice Manager and Reception Supervisors are kept fully aware ofany relevant feedback from Guests and/or otherdepartments
- Demonstrate a high level ofcustomer service at all times
- Understandthoroughly all hotel room categories, room rates, packages,promotions and other general product knowledge necessary to performdaily duties
- Maximize room occupancy and useup-selling techniques to promote hotel services andfacilities
- Understand correct proceduresregarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards andcash in accordance with the hotel creditpolicy
- Answer switchboard calls, asrequired
- Ensure all Guest deliveries andmessages are received effectively andefficiently
- Act in accordance with fire, healthand safety regulations and follow the correct procedures whenrequired
- Act in accordance with policies andprocedures when working with front of house equipment and propertymanagement systems
- Attend appropriate trainingcourses, when required
- Follow and adhere tocompany brand standards
- Assist otherdepartments wherever necessary and maintain good workingrelationships with Team Members
- Work with yourManager to identify a specific project to complete during yourinternship placement
