Job Description - Receptionist Front Office

Roles and responsibilities

We are looking to hire an upbeatfront desk agent to assist with checking guests in and out of ourestablishment. The front desk agent will assist guests withinquiries, problems, and complaints. The front desk agent will beresponsible for receiving guests’ payments and forbalancing the cash at end of the shift. You will be familiar withthe hotel layout, be up to date with different tariffs and specialoffers, understand the in-house restaurant's operation tofacilitate guests' dining reservations and to makerecommendations, and be proficient with operating the switchboard.You will ensure keys are handed back on guests'departure.

  • Welcome visitors with aprofessional and cheerful outlook, facilitating them to meet therequired company personnel.
  • Help the staffmembers with crucial tasks related to scheduling, agendas, andmeetings, ensuring fluent corporatefunctioning.
  • Answer, screen, and forwardincoming phone calls.
  • Create a timely record ofimportant meetings and agendas by maintaining the companycalendar.
  • Inform interested and appropriatepersons about the company's basic details through variouscommunication modes.
  • Stay prompt in conductingall the essential tasks and responsibilities expected from acorporate receptionist.
  • Company dataentry
  • Greeting and thanking guests in asincere, friendly manner.
  • Checking guests in onarrival and out on departure.
  • Posting chargesto appropriate guest accounts.
  • Anticipating andaddressing guests' needs, and resolving their problems andcomplaints.
  • Assisting guests withdisabilities.
  • Operating switchboard andassisting with inquiries.
  • Assisting thereservations manager with takingreservations.
  • Collaborating and communicatingwith other internal departments to ensure guestsatisfaction.
  • Complying with company proceduresand safety policies.
  • Performing duties on adaily checklist.

Desired candidate profile

  • Solid English written and verbal communicationskills.
  • Hands-on experience in operating MSOffice Suite and relevant software.
  • Possessinga remarkable command of basic administrative tasks, therebyimproving overall productivity.
  • Proven workexperience as a Receptionist.
  • An enthusiasticprofessional with an ability to perform multiple tasks afteranalyzing various company parameters.
  • Abilityto match the corporate setup by understanding the company cultureand requirement of suitable presentationskills.
  • High school diploma or suitableequivalent.
  • 1+ years of front desk agentexperience preferred.
  • Well-groomed,professional appearance.
  • Outstanding writtenand verbal communication skills.
  • Teamplayer.
  • Physically agile, and able to stand forextended periods.
  • Available to work shifts,over weekends, and on publicholidays.
