Job Description



If you are customer obsessed and love helping people grow, then this could be a great role for you.

We’re looking for an experienced customer service trainer who is innovative, engaging and proactive in their pursuit of helping people and teams to deliver an amazing customer experience.

The purpose of this role is to ensure everyone in our service team is equipped to wow our customers in every conversation, through company value, process, system and behavioral training. Starting before day one, by helping to define what skills need to be bought (recruited) vs taught, through to on-boarding and continuous on the job training and development.

The key components of this role will be to:

  • Identify the behaviours and skills required to deliver an amazing experience and help embed these into the entry requirements for all customer service roles (including re-defining

    s to ensure a minimum standard of behaviours, attitudes and skills that the training plan sits on top of)
  • Develop a training plan to meet our current and future needs, aligned with the business strategy, and own the communication and progress tracking against it
  • Create a followership within the service organisation, using the collective capability and capacity of the service teams to help deliver training (e.g. train-the-trainer, development and succession planning for rising stars to develop the skills on the job in readiness for becoming a future trainer)
  • Drive the new Build-Measure-Learn feedback loop and continuous improvement mindset as we set out our new Sales & Service Strategy

Qualifications



To be successful as abcam's global Customer Services Training Manager, you will have a collaborative mindset that has experience in partnering with the global customer service & scientific support teams to identify training needs. You will have developed a career in customer service or frontline training, where you have been able to present complex concepts to multiple stakeholders.
