Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver comprehensive History lessons that align with the national curriculum
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and motivated to succeed
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and colleagues to support student growth and development
- Collaborate with other teachers to develop cross-curricular activities and initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with educational trends, teaching methodologies, and content-related developments in the field of History
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events to build positive relationships with families and the wider community
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in History, Education or a related field
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent certification
- Proven experience teaching History at the primary or secondary level
- Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for teaching and a dedication to nurturing a love for History in students
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage classroom resources and materials
