Operations Manager

Location: Liverpool/London
Reports to: Managing Director UK and COO

Hoxton Wealth is seeking an experienced, driven, and forward-thinking Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our rapidly growing UK financial planning practice. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and client service excellence as we scale our business globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Oversee and manage the daily operations of the practice to ensure efficiency and scalability for future business growth.
• Team Management: Work closely with our paraplanning and administration teams to deliver exceptional client service and achieve business objectives.
• Compliance & Regulation: Ensure full compliance with FCA regulations, GDPR, AML legislation, and other industry requirements to maintain the highest standards of governance.
• Client Experience & Retention: Oversee client onboarding, periodic reviews, and retention strategies to enhance long-term relationships.
• Process Optimisation: Drive continuous improvement by developing and implementing efficient processes that support business growth.
• Stakeholder Management: Maintain and enhance relationships with key stakeholders, including advisors, clients, and external service providers.
• Technology & Systems: Ensure the effective use of financial planning tools and platforms, including our proprietary back-office system, cash flow modelling software, and other research systems.
• Business Strategy Support: Assist the leadership team in executing strategic initiatives, expansion plans, and operational efficiencies.
• Proven experience in an IFA Operations Manager role, with a track record of success in scaling financial planning operations.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive performance within a team.
• In-depth knowledge of financial planning, investment management, tax planning, and compliance regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients, team members, and external partners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify opportunities for business improvement.
• Fully conversant with financial technology platforms such as cash flow modelling tools, and CRM systems.
• Strong understanding of industry regulations, including FCA, GDPR, and AML legislation.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• A professional, personable, and presentable approach to leadership and client engagement.

Qualifications

• A relevant professional qualification such as the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of international financial advisory and regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• Previous experience with Power BI
