Job Description
TPF Recruitment, the leading provider of accountancy practice professionals, is currently supporting one of their clients located in Oxted, seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their friendly and growing team. This role offers the flexibility to work in either a full-time or part-time capacity, making it an excellent opportunity for those seeking work-life balance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for a variety of clients
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Bank reconciliations
- Processing payroll
- Handling general bookkeeping tasks and financial reporting
- Liaising with clients to address and resolve queries
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
Requirements:- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, ideally within an accountancy practice
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- A proactive and client-focused approach
Benefits:- Competitive starting salary of £25,000 - £32,000, subject to experience
- Flexibility to work full-time or part-time (minimum 22.5 hours up to 37.5 hours per week)
