Job Description - Technical Site Engineer

About the Company:

RVT Group is a dynamic fast-growing specialist hire service company and have been established over 25 years. We provide support in controlling the hazards of site environments. Caring for both site personnel and members of the public, we specialise in protecting against dust, fumes and noise – elements which can be disturbing, damaging and even fatal.  Our mission is to protect long-term health on site. Our main operations hubs are in Dartford and Sheffield with smaller support bases in Glasgow, Portsmouth & Plymouth. Mobile engineers are based around the country.

About the Role:

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide essential support to the Barrow Project Team by assisting them in executing various operational activities directly on site. This will involve hands-on involvement in day-to-day tasks, installation, maintenance, inspection and ensuring smooth workflow to meet project objectives efficiently.

A company van will be provided to support travel and timely arrival at project locations. Applicants should reside within reasonable commuting distance from Barrow to ensure prompt and consistent site attendance for effective project collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site technical engineering installations for all types of RVT equipment
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on RVT equipment in accordance with the service contract
  • Diagnose equipment faults and breakdowns as needed
  • Maintain a strong focus on site health and safety awareness
  • Undertake ad-hoc workshop and stores duties as required
  • Carry out additional administrative operational tasks, such as arranging logistics and managing equipment exchanges

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Level 3 Electrical Qualification
  • Working knowledge of LEV
  • Construction/Industrial site experience essential
  • CSCS / ECS card (technical or above)
  • Driving licence essential
  • Health & Safety certified to level 3 (desirable)
  • MOD SC clearance
  • Proficient IT skills
  • Adequate physical and mental fitness
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent customer relationship capabilities
