Youth Emotional and Mental Health - Oxford
Our lovely school is looking for a Youth Emotional and Mental Health Support Worker to join them in fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for their students. They believe that their students deserve the opportunity to thrive both academically and emotionally.
Your role will involve:
- Engaging with the students and ensuring that they are receiving a good blend of their education and interventions.
- Involvement in the development of student’s social skills, emotional regulation and academic engagement through the use of therapy.
- Gaining valuable information and insight into mental health issues to advocate for mental health awareness and interventions to support students.
- Making a positive impact on the lives of children who are struggling to cope in the classroom.
Your responsibilities as a Youth Emotional and Mental Health Support Worker:
- Foster trusting and supportive relationships with students, promoting their well-being and resilience.
- Assist with classroom activities, ensuring students are engaged and participating.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
- Help model healthy coping strategies and social skills.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
- Work closely with students to implement individualized support to students with autism.
- Implement individualized therapeutic strategies.
- Support students in developing social communication skills.
