The Administrative Assistant II position will provideoffice support to the health, mental health, nutrition, and wellness promotionservices in the UCCS Wellness Center.


The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is oneof four campuses in the University of Colorado system and is home to over10,500 undergraduate and 1,900 graduate students.

Job Duties:

  •  Front desk, which will include greeting and checking patients/clients in and out, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and answering questions and directing people to the proper resources. 
  • Telehealth support including scheduling Telehealth and mental health appointments, assisting students with completing online forms and assisting providers as needed.
  • Collecting payments for services and preparing tickets in electronic medical record system. 
  • Balancing charges and revenue received with electronic medical records and superbills.
  • Scanning patient documents into electronic medical record system as well as assisting with file maintenance and purging of inactive charts.
  • Maintaining current list of office supplies and sending list of needed supplies to the office manager.
  • Processing medical record requests.
  • Assisting with processing of student immunization records to meet Colorado state requirements.
  • Cleaning of front office area, reception and waiting room areas to protect health and safety of students and staff.
  • Other administrative and clerical duties as assigned.

  • For the purposes of FLSA, thisposition has been determined to be non-exempt from (eligible for) overtimeunder FLSA.


    Salary: $34,068

    Qualifications

    MinimumRequirements:

    • Two (2) years of experience working in a medical office,counseling office, or K-12 school setting.

    Substitution  

    Completionof Medical Administrative Assistant or similar program that includes internshiphours from an accredited college, university or non-correspondence trade schoolmay substitute for experience. 

     

    PreferredQualifications:

    • Experience working with an electronic medical recordsystem
    • Experience working in a college health setting
