Job Description - Real Estate Legal Administrative Assistant

Put your legal and organizational skills to work at Snell & Wilmer, one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the Western United States. We currently have an opening for a Real Estate Legal Administrative Assistant. This position requires 5 years of legal secretary experience preferably in Real Estate. Candidates must be able to type 65 wpm and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. The legal assistant will also calendar, docket, send out correspondence, take in paperwork, manage and reconcile payments, and perform all other duties assigned. The person in this position must exhibit the utmost reliability.

The hours for this position are 8:30 to 5:00 p.m. Legal Assistants will report to assigned attorneys, and their Department Head, as appropriate.

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Real Estate and drafting and editing real estate documents
  • Experience with business transactions
  • Thorough understanding of legal procedures and terminology
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to prepare closing binders; coordinate all necessary steps for closings, payoffs and title orders
  • Excel, Word and Outlook proficiency
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a PLUS

The successful candidate will be able to handle day-to-day work challenges and adjust to multiple demands, priorities and rapid change. This position also requires exceptional attention to detail and follow through. The incumbent must be willing and motivated to learn.
