Job Description - HR Director - Urgent Hire

Description: The Human Resources Director is responsible for delivering strategic and operational HR support to the Rotary Missions and Systems Engineering & Technology (E&T) function. E&T is comprised of over 14,000 employees, with over 50 executives (Directors and above) supporting 4 lines of business in over 100 locations in the US and abroad. The HR Director will lead a team of managers and have oversight for approximately 30 HR professionals tasked with helping to build an inclusive and diverse workforce. The role will include a strategic focus on assessing and driving complex talent retention and acquisition, workforce development, and critical skill strategies. The position will collaboratively partner across RMS and the Corporation. Additional responsibilities may include: • Implement HR workforce strategies and initiatives to ensure talent and organizational capability including alignment with business needs.
• Act as the strategic business partner to the Vice President of E&T and their staff, Line of Business HR Leads, and the HR Center of Excellence Leads.
• Lead the development of innovative Human Capital solutions to address complex business issues including but not limited to large-scale change initiatives, business growth, staffing up/down cycles, business integration, executive talent development, coaching for business outcomes, organizational design, and strategic decision making.
• Partner within the organization to support the implementation of tactical and strategic plans.
• Develop the organizations talent management strategies which includes ensuring key talent is placed in key roles and that the organization has the appropriate bench strength to maintain optimal performance. There is a preference for the role to support at one of the main RMS sites. The position has travel requirements for approximately 30 of the time depending on business needs. • Excellent strategic planning capabilities, including the ability to anticipate the future human capital needs
• Proven leadership experience, self-confidence, and an established track record of accomplishments in a complex work environment
• A proactive and collaborative management style that focuses on the development of employees at all levels
• A positive and ethical role model, with strong influencing skills
• A creative nature that will keep pace with evolving organizational demands
