Production Operator

Performs a variety of manual and machine operations related to the production of Nitinol Tubes, Sheet and/or Specialty Components to specification by performing the following duties:

Key Responsibilities

• Follow JM safety principles and contribute to behavioral safety. The use of Personal Protective Equipment as well as the use of applicable machine guarding is a primary responsibility.
• Reads work order/traveler to determine sequence of operations and requirements.
• Uses and operates most hand tools and equipment necessary to perform the job.
• Verifies conformance and dimensions of tubes, sheet, and components using laser micrometer, microscopes and pin guages.
• Perform secondary and finishing operations as required, that includes but is not limited to, cutting sheet or tube material to length, sandblasting, and cleaning.
• Maintains lot traceability, work orders/travelers, and good housekeeping practices at all times.
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills in order to optimize output with the ability to handle several assignments at one time.
• May confer with relevant lead, engineering, and/or production supervisor to identify producton issues.
• Participates in local programmes to improve EHS performance.
• Accurately records daily production as required and provides detailed handover.
• Commitment to comply with ISO and manufacturing related requirements
• Other duties may be assigned.

Are you the ideal candidate?

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of manufacturing and/or machining work experience with demonstrated ability preferred.
• Ability to use in process inspection tools desirable.
• Ability to use both hands in a semi-repetitive motion for up to 6 hours per day.
• Ability to occasionally lift 10 – 20 pounds.
• Employee stands, sits and walks frequently.
• Frequently required to reach with both hands and arms and occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
