Our location in Princeton, NJ currently has an opportunity for a Product Manager, Global Marketing, Global Portfolio Strategy. The Global Marketing Product Manager will manage the product roadmap and life cycles for Abbott’s Point of Care products. They will manage the SKU process by geography. He/she will also oversee internal processes such as Integrated Business Planning, and the Alpha product development process as it pertains to Global Strategic Marketing. This person will work closely with the geographic area marketers to understand international needs, ensure products are meeting Regulatory and commercial needs in all geographic areas. The Product Manager will work cross functionally and build strong collaborative relationships with product managers, area marketers, R&D, Operations and Sales. This is an excellent position for an individual who seeks to grow a strong career with a leader in diagnostic testing. 


  • Help to manage the roadmap and lifecycle of products. Work with GSM product managers and senior management to determine when to introduce or retire various diagnostic tests.Assist in implementing product roadmap by facilitating processes to introduce new products. Help manage the product definition, design, development, deployment, maintenance and end-of-life.Manage SKUs for products. Manage changes, align with product managers and area marketers and work with internal process to create or retire SKUs as necessary to reflect international product offering.Lead as project manager for Global Strategic Marketing department. Manage Integrated Business Planning, and alpha processes as it pertains to Global Strategic Marketing. Manage repository of commercial development documents.Provide guidance on the development and maintenance of packaging and labeling.Build strong relationship with Product Managers, Area Marketing managers, Operations, R&D and Regulatory. Possess strong project management skills, with proven ability to clearly define objectives, priorities. Develop project plan and manage to deadlines.



    B.A. or B.S. Degree required.At least 5 years of experience in project management and/or marketing in healthcare is needed with background in pharmaceuticals, diagnostics or devices.Exceptional project management, collaboration, problem solving skills and attention to detail needed. Excellent oral and written communication skills (including presentation and listening skills with senior level staff).Experience with IVD or medical devices preferred but not required.Positive attitude, confidence, integrity and professionalism. Initiative and self-motivation; strong work ethic; leadership and team orientation; strong proactive interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with others; ability to work in a matrixed environment, strong cross-functional management by influence.


    A Master’s Degree in Business Administration or other graduate degree is preferred.
