Ace Pipe Cleaning, Inc. specializes in the inspection, planned maintenance and repair of municipal sewer pipes and water mains in the United States. Our headquarters is in Kansas City, MO, with branch operations in St. Louis, Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Nashville.
Position Description:
The Assistant Controller is responsible for assisting the Company’s controller. Under direction of the Controller, this position will help oversee general accounting work for the company including processing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts; helping supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll; and other reporting and accounting needs as requested by management.

Location: Kansas City, MO
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:00PM
Pay: $85,000-$95,000 (Negotiable based on experience)

Essential Job Functions
- Assist is preparing monthly financial statements, report packages, and financial presentations for the management team.
- Ensure accounts payable are entered and paid timely
- Ensure accounts receivable are invoiced and collected promptly
- Ensure payroll is processed without fail on a weekly basis
- Communicate with the management team on findings and present results at management meetings, using both Navision and Excel reports
- Maintain good record keeping and internal controls
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Assist with annual audit
Qualifications
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, experience with Navision software a plus
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Ability to prioritize and work in a multi-tasked environment
- Customer service focused
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Education and Experience
- Degree from a 4-year college or university preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in management accounting and financial reporting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus but not required
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience
- Previous Accounting experience in a construction or trades industry highly preferred
