Hospitality Manager

Frontier Senior Living is seeking an outstanding Hospitality Manager to join The Terraces at Kingwood Town Center located in Kingwood, Texas.

Position Summary:

The Hospitality Manager is directly responsible for establishing and maintaining all standards of quality, conduct, customer service & productivity within the community. The Hospitality Manager will lead and develop the front of the house dining room team by promoting proper dining room etiquette, meal handling procedures, and exceptional customer service skills. The Hospitality Manager also assists with the day-to-day operations of the community, achieving high resident satisfaction and quality resident care/services, generating respect in the community, & ensuring smooth operation of the community.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Plan, organize, schedule & coordinate all activities in the dining room in conjunction with the Executive Chef & Life Style Director.
2. Recruit, hire, train, discipline, & supervise front of the house server staff.
3. Manage daily operations of the dining room to exceed hospitality & service standards.
4. Meet & greet all residents & guests, assist them with any requests & suggestions. Ensure positive resident relations by responding promptly & appropriately. Promote a culture where each resident is of greatest importance.
5. Monitor set up, maintenance, cleanliness & safety of dining area.
6. Cooperate & effectively interact with the resident council.
7. Access, retrieve & review email messages (twice daily minimum).
8. Exercise professional judgement & carefully adhere to all written standards, personnel administration policies & procedures.
9. Comply with any & all state, local, or federal rules, regulations & licensing requirements related to health, safety (OSHA), & general operation of the community & food services department.
10. Participate in the weekend Manager on duty schedule.
11. Perform any additional job duties assigned which may change from time to time according to resident needs, staffing levels, working circumstances and/or directives.

Other Requirements:

• Push, pull, lift at least 30 pounds. Frequent transporting of residents in a wheelchair.
• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend for periods of up to eight hours with breaks as provided for in the employee handbook.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written; English language skills adequate to allow communication with residents and staff, and to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Has compassion, familiarity and willingness to work with the elderly population.
• Must be able to routinely follow written and verbal instructions.
