Compensation: $23.00 - $26.00 / hour DOE
Duties: The HR Admin is often exposed to all human resources procedures and assists with tasks throughout the HR department. In addition to recruiting and onboarding, an HR Coordinator is the first point of contact for HR-related queries and ensures that HR processes are efficient.
- Assist in recruitment by interviewing candidates, screening resumes, sourcing, posting job advertisements, and scheduling interviews.
- Work with IT, Payroll, and other departments to ensure new employees are set up in the system (e.g., email accounts, access badges, payroll direct deposit).
- Assist in transitioning from candidate to new hire, ensuring all documentation and pre-employment processes (e.g., offer letter, background checks, drug screen, or any other needed pre-employment tasks) are completed smoothly.
- Ensure all hiring procedures and practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of candidates and recruiting activities.
- Help coordinate mandatory employee training programs, manuals, slides, or video tutorials (e.g., harassment prevention, health and safety).
- Schedule and conduct new hire orientation sessions to introduce employees to the company’s culture, values, policies, and procedures.
- Provide an overview of employee benefits, payroll setup, and compliance-related forms (e.g., tax forms, direct deposit, I-9 verification).
- Ensure all required onboarding documents, including benefits enrollment, are completed, collected, and filed.
- Assist with payroll processing, including tracking time and attendance, reviewing timesheets, and coordinating with the payroll department.
- Support the HR team with special projects, such as policy updates, employee surveys, or HR system improvements.
- Working understanding of Human Resource principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Google Suite.
- 1–3 years of experience in an HR role (HR Admin, HR Assistant, or similar) is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
