Payroll Specialist

Position Summary: 

The payroll specialist will manage the payroll process for US and Canadian employees, both exempt and non-exempt to ensure timely and accurate payment...

Key Responsibilities:

• Review time cards for accuracy and work with supervisors to correct any errors


• Ensure that payroll is calculated correctly: overtime, car allowances, special payments, tax withholdings, 401k contributions, etc


• Main point of contact with ADP Workforce Now


• Work closely with Human Resources to ensure that employee changes are timely and accurate.
  
  
  
  • New hires, leaves, terminated employees
  
  
  • Update employee tax withholdings
  
  
  
  


• Prepare bi-weekly and monthly payroll reports


• Review all employee loans to ensure proper payments are made


• Ensure tax compliance with the state and local tax jurisdictions


• Respond timely to all employee requests for assistance


• Lead contact for the annual 401k audit and workers compensation audit, and support for financial audit


• Process employee expense reports weekly


• Various other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in processing payroll


• Experience using ADP Workforce Now

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in MS Excel skills, including Pivot tables and Lookups


• Ability to communicate well with other team members


• Ability to identify problems and perform root cause analysis

Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000
