Media Relation Specialist, Vietnam

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Media Relations Specialist to join our team at Vero Vietnam. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and nurturing strong relationships with media, influencers, and key stakeholders to promote trust and two-way communication. Leveraging your expertise in Vietnam's media landscape, you will drive impactful engagement initiatives, develop tailored strategies for our clients, and contribute to the overall growth of Vero’s reputation in Vietnam and ASEAN.

Key Responsibilities

Media Relationship Analytics

• Monitor and analyze media engagement and relationships across the team.


• Leverage data insights to inform and optimize media strategies for clients.


• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate analysis and recommendations for enhancing media relationships and campaign effectiveness.

Media Engagement Strategy

• Develop engagement workflows to build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with media, influencers, and communities at all levels.


• Create tailored media engagement strategies to meet diverse client's objectives.


• Proactively identify opportunities for media collaborations that align with clients’ and/or Vero's brand narratives and business goals.

Communication Workflow Enhancement

• Design and enhance communication workflows to improve interactions with media, clients, and prospects.


• Ensure seamless communication processes that elevate client satisfaction and Vero's industry reputation.


• Provide internal teams with best practices in effective communication and relationship management.

Media and Influencer Relationship Management

• Develop, update, and maintain a comprehensive database of media contacts and influencers for Vero Vietnam.


• Establish genuine connections and nurture long-term relationships with stakeholders.


• Support the internal team in executing media strategies and developing sustainable processes to ensure consistent engagement.

Client & Campaign Support

• Develop and implement strategic media and influencer engagement programs and activities in collaboration with the client and account management team.


• Participate in new business pitches by providing research support and coordination, positioning Vero as an invaluable long-term partner for marketing and communications services.

Brand Reputation Building

• Partner with the Culture team to enhance Vero’s visibility and reputation in the industry.

About you

• You have ~3 years of working experience in a communication-related field, working with journalists and influencers on a daily basis.


• You have a strong journalist and influencer network. You understand the market’s specificities when it comes to media and influencer engagement, and you know how to keep your both updated and growing.


• You believe efficient communication is sparked by positive conversations.


• You trust that creativity and empathy are at the heart of great communication strategies.


• You have good English speaking and writing skills and you are comfortable working in a young, multicultural environment.


• You are curious, proactive, and stay up-to-date with new trends, refusing to settle for boring or outdated approaches.

Travel and Place of Work

Your primary work location will be at the Vero SuperCampus in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where the inspiring city views create an environment conducive to creativity and productivity. Occasionally, the Company may require you to work from other locations, and any additional expenses incurred will be reimbursed accordingly.
Standard working hours are 9am, to 5.30pm, Monday through Friday. This may vary depending on workload and client needs. Extra hours worked on weekends can be equally traded for extra personal leave, after discussing with your manager.

• Unlimited Leave: Your allocated holiday time at Vero will be unlimited. We trust our people to use good judgement when given guidelines for making decisions about taking holiday and we know that our teams work better when they can rest and take a proper break from work. Our goal is that every team takes an average of 15 days (minimum!) per person a year.


• Annual Bonus: An “enhanced 13th month” through which you will receive an annual extra sum of money equal to your salary in the preceding month plus a fraction of annual company benefits. The year-end bonus is determined by the Company and at its sole discretion.

• International Travel: As much as possible we push our teams to travel for events/client work. • Thought Leadership and training: We sponsor team-members with training tools and resources, both internal and external and we even incentivize employees to complete classes. Details of training programs and incentives will be shared upon your onboarding. This includes training and development investments organized by the company as well as specialized programs that our executives may come across and feel is needed for their development. For example, this could be a program organized by a group such as PR WEEK, PRCA or a training program that focuses on business in general. Across the Vero group we are seeking new and better ways to help people develop careers – and of course this would apply to the Philippines too.


• Health Insurance: The Company will provide a private medical insurance as a benefit. The actual package and structure of the insurance may be determined by the Company and at its sole discretion.


• Mental Health Budget: We understand the importance of access to proper mental health support, all our employees can access a minimum budget of $500 USD per year for therapy with internationally trained psychologists. The access to this budget and the content of your therapy are 100% confidential, only you and your therapist know what is being said during sessions, of course.
