Headquartered in Singapore, they design, build, and operate digital banks tailored for underserved populations. Their innovative approach combines advanced technology with personalized services through physical kiosks, allowing customers to easily open accounts and access banking services.
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Technical Scrum Master to establish and lead a new scrum team focused on delivering one of our latest fintech products. The Scrum Master’s primary responsibility is to ensure the team operates efficiently, maintaining an optimal flow of work and driving tasks to completion. To excel in this role, you will need to plan and forecast proactively, demonstrating pragmatism and sensitivity to the operating environment, while using your expertise to guide the team’s delivery approach effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build a strong, collaborative relationship with stakeholders, fostering openness, honesty, and transparency.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as daily scrums, sprint planning, showcases, and retrospectives.
- Act as a mentor and coach, offering guidance and feedback to team members and stakeholders.
- Proactively set the pace for delivery, managing technical debt and ensuring continuous delivery.
- Lead the team by motivating and setting cadence, ensuring commitment to the definition of done.
- Manage the Master Story List (MSL), ensuring stories are well-maintained and ready for sprints.
- Visualize and manage work in the sprint through tools such as card walls and burn-up charts.
- Resolve conflicts within the team and negotiate priorities and timelines with stakeholders.
- Provide feedback and ensure alignment between the team and stakeholders.
- At least 2+ years of recent experience as a Scrum Master.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken (mandatory).
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Experience in stakeholder management and communications, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and leadership.
- A proactive, high-energy approach to motivating the delivery team.
- Hands-on experience leading small teams.
- Experience with agile methodologies and technical debt management.
Technical Knowledge:
Proficiency in at least 3 of the following areas:
- Mobile (iOS or Android)
- Web (HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS, JavaScript)
- Microsoft .Net (C#, ASP, Framework), SQL Server
- Quality Assurance, Automation Testing
- Web Security, OWASP
- Java, Oracle
- DevOps, Continuous Delivery
