Senior IT-Product Manager

Our client is Germany’s leading travel comparison platform, used by millions of travelers to discover the best offers each day. With a strong emphasis on performance, innovation, and user-friendly design, the team is developing a next-generation flight booking experience, making it seamless to search, compare, and book flights.

To improve the customer journey and significantly boost the performance of flight search results, the company is restructuring its backend systems. They are now seeking a Senior Product Manager – Backend Flight, who brings strong analytical and conceptual abilities, along with a proactive, hands-on approach to driving impactful improvements.

• Designing, specifying, and developing intelligent, flexible backend systems for process automation and the development of innovative features for our client's customers
  
• Thinking through the systems in detail and thereby ensuring high-quality and reliable implementation  
  
• Collaboration with the IT teams, analysts, and management
  
• Development and continuous development of the comparison in terms of (data) quality and price attractiveness
  
• Development of the product strategy and creation of the technical product roadmap
  
• Ensuring product functionality, regular quality assurance, and testing
  
• Collaboration with suppliers such as integrators, airlines, and other cooperating companies
  

Requirements

• A degree completed with excellent academic performance, ideally with a focus on economics, mathematics, technology, or IT 
  
• At least 2 years of professional experience in a comparable environment, such as the online industry or e-commerce 
  
•  Proven ability to independently and quickly grasp technical topics and apply that knowledge in practice 
  
• Preferably, prior experience in Business Intelligence and/or data (banking) structures 
  
• An analytical and structured working style, with strong attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset 
  
• A hands-on approach, strong communication skills, and a collaborative team spirit 
  
• Proactive thinking, openness to new ideas, and the drive to make a meaningful impact through curiosity and innovation
