What does a Production Operator do?

A production operator handles and monitors manufacturing machinery in a factory or other comparable facility. They help assemble, manufacture, process, and package products on a production line by operating equipment. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that everything runs smoothly and on time. Aside from aiding with the processing and packing of items, a production operator also examines the machine or equipment to ensure that it is in excellent working order and safe to operate. A production operator works along an assembly line, doing specific duties that aid in the movement of a product to the consumer market. Their responsibilities include paying attention to detail, following directions, and ensuring that their facility runs safely at all times. They must also be able to work well under duress, such as when the machinery fails or other situations arise.

Requirements of a Production Operator
