Position Summary
The Part-Time Regional Mobilizer develops GEM’s Mobilization and Church Engagement in your local area by building connections, guiding prospective missionaries, and supporting local ministry partnerships. This role is approximately 25 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
General Responsibilities for All GEM Missionaries
Maintain personal spiritual vitality and a healthy family life.
Engage in personal discipleship for the growth and multiplication of obedient Christ followers.
Actively participate in a local church.
Take at least one day per quarter as a spiritual retreat
Maintain prayer and financial support.
Contribute to the operation and health of your GEM field community.
Submit monthly reports
Participate in field-wide and mission-wide meetings, retreats, and conferences as required (scaled appropriately for part-time staff).
Specific Responsibilities
Generate leads for new mobilization within the region.
Develop and strengthen relationships with key churches, colleges, and ministries in the region.
Attend mission conferences in the region (and elsewhere as needed).
Make first step calls and track with contacts from initial interest through next steps.
Use Salesforce to record and follow up with leads.
Mentor and mobilize university students as appropriate.
Participate in weekly or biweekly calls with supervisor and mobilization team (part-time schedule considered).
Support Ten2 project preparation and execution as time permits.
Assist in mobilizing and training one short-term team annually.
Help organize and execute local church lunches, discovery days, and other mobilization events.
Required Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team member.
Proficient with Office software, Salesforce, and social media platforms.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Work Environment This role operates in a hybrid environment, balancing remote work with in-person church, campus, and ministry visits.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to talk, listen, and engage in person-to-person communication.
Occasionally lift office products and supplies (up to 20 lbs).
Must be able to adjust focus and work with computer-based tools.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position (~25 hours per week) with flexible scheduling.
Travel This position requires up to 15% travel, primarily regional, with occasional national travel as needed.
Education and Experience
A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university preferred.
Experience in mobilization, ministry, or related leadership roles is a plus.
