Accounts Payable Officer | 3 days per week

Robert Half is currently partnering with a well-established business based in the CBD seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their team on a 3-month temporary assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounts professional looking for flexibility while remaining hands-on in a varied finance role.

Working 3 days per week, with Tuesday and Friday being essential working days, you'll play a key role in supporting the finance function across multiple venues.

The Role:

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for a broad range of accounts payable, bookkeeping, and administrative duties, including:

• Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Reviewing and checking invoice coding
• Managing supplier accounts and maintaining vendor records
• Conducting bank detail verification checks and managing supplier changes
• Resolving supplier queries and following up outstanding credit notes
• Performing supplier statement reconciliations
• Assisting with payment batch preparation and scheduling

Your Profile:

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Previous Accounts Payable or bookkeeping experience
• Strong working knowledge of Xero is essential
• Experience performing bank reconciliations and supporting cash flow reporting
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive and reliable approach to work
• Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
