Accounts Payable Officer | Temporary

The Company

Robert Half is currently recruiting for an experienced/senior Accounts Payable Officer to join a well-respected and highly regarded employer of choice in the logistics industry, boasting an outstanding office location in the northern suburbs (onsite parking available).

Commencing ASAP, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team environment where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the accurate and timely execution of accounts payable procedures across the business.

This position is offered on a rolling month-to-month temporary contract and has the potential to transition to permanent employment (although not guaranteed). The organisation offers a hybrid work arrangement of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

The Role

Working within a friendly team environment your varied role will include:

• Processing of supplier invoices with attention to detail and accuracy
• Matching and verifying purchase orders to invoices
• Communicating with suppliers to resolve queries.
• Accounts Reconciliation
• Maintaining vendor accounts
• Vendor statement reconciliation
• Scheduling and preparing payments
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable

Your Profile

To be successful in this role you will be immediately available and have a minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role. You will need to demonstrate prior practical experience working with ERP accounting software, as well as possess an intermediate level of Excel skills (pivot tables/ V-lookups).

Excellent communication skills, a customer service approach, and the ability to work to deadlines is also required.
