EOI - Manager, Marketing and Communications – NSW Trustee and Guardian



  • Temporary full-time vacancy. Up to September 2026 with a possibility of extension.

  • 35 hours per week.

  • Location: This role is based in Sydney CBD 3 days per week and 2 days working from home.

  • Clerk Grade: Level 9/10. Base salary $129,464 p.a. to $142,665 p.a. plus 12% superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the team 
The Customer Experience division provides a wide range of specialist support across NSW Trustee and Guardian divisions including customer advocacy support, service design, business development, marketing, brand, communications, and media services.


 


About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a marketing and communications specialist to lead a high performing team that shapes and executes engaging campaigns and customer and employee communications that will build brand reputation and drive improved business outcomes.


 


The role is responsible for leading a high performing team to create engaging campaigns and communications to drive NSW Trustee and Guardian’s brand reputation and financial sustainability objectives. The role works closely with team members across the Customer Experience division and NSW Trustee and Guardian, to deliver specialist marketing communications that support improved customer experience outcomes.


 


As the Manager, Marketing and Communications, you will: 



  • Lead the team to proactively develop and deliver engaging integrated marketing campaigns and communications to improve brand awareness and consideration for products and services, improved customer experiences and improved brand reputation in key areas of satisfaction, trust and engagement. Ensure all activities are customer centred; aligning to organisational objectives, are consistent with NSW Trustee and Guardian’s Customer Excellence Principles and adhere with all NSW Government and NSW Trustee and Guardian’s brand guidelines

  • Lead the development and implementation of all marketing support assets, communications material, and content for internal and external channels.

  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to improve customer communications, ensuring it is written in plain English, meets customer needs and aligns with NSW Trustee and Guardian Customer Excellence Principles.

  • Develop reporting dashboards to monitor and evaluate effectiveness of all activities against agreed measures and outcomes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and capability development.

  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met.

  • Apply best practice industry methodologies standards and guidelines to ensure delivery of quality outcomes within established timeframes and project plans.

  • Supervise, mentor and coach staff to achieve high levels of performance, deliver excellent customer service and meet organisational outcomes

About you
The ideal candidate will need to have the following skills and experience:



  • Experience in marketing communications across multiple channels

  • Experience being a brand champion

  • A passion for creating effective digital campaigns and communications that connect with a diverse range of people.

  • Experience in leading a high performing team

  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated experience in the delivery of information across multiple audience profiles

Essential requirements  



  • Demonstrated integrated marketing communications experience across multiple channels, including paid media, owned and earned media, printed collateral and event support assets; internal, external, and customer communications, driving improved brand awareness, consideration and overall reputation.

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience in a relevant discipline or industry within services sector, professional and or community focussed areas across a diverse range of customer groups.
