Job Description - Payroll Clerk - Luxury Goods


The Company

  • Join a well-established luxury goods business based in Sydney CBD.

  • This is a temporary opportunity offering $40 per hour with hybrid working flexibility.
  • You'll step into a collaborative and professional team where accuracy, reliability, and service matter.

The Role

  • Support the payroll function to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Process payroll data, including timesheets, leave, allowances, deductions, and new starter information.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring all payroll information is current and accurate.
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations and respond to payroll-related queries from staff in a timely and helpful manner.
  • Help ensure payroll processes remain compliant with relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Work closely with finance, HR, and key internal stakeholders to support smooth payroll operations.
  • Contribute during a busy period in a hands-on role where your attention to detail will be highly valued.
  • Enjoy a hybrid working arrangement while being part of a business located in the heart of Sydney CBD. Based on general knowledge.

About You

  • Previous experience in a payroll, payroll administration, or payroll clerk role.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Confident handling payroll data and resolving issues in a professional and proactive way.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
  • Intermediate to advanced systems skills, with confidence using payroll and finance systems as well as Excel.
  • Available to start quickly and happy to commit to a temporary assignment.
  • Experience in retail, consumer products, or a luxury goods environment will be viewed favourably.
