  • Location – Parramatta Hybrid

  • Employment type – Temporary till 30 June 2028

  • Salary: Clerk Grade 7/8, $113, 574 - $125,720 pr annum + superannuation


 


 


Your role


 


Homes NSW is a division of the Department of Communities and Justice. It brings together the housing and homelessness functions of the Department of Communities and Justice, the NSW Land and Housing Corporation, Aboriginal Housing Office and key worker housing functions from across government all under one roof. 


 


Homes NSW leads work to deliver more social and affordable housing, end the cycle of homelessness, and deliver quality public housing to our 262,000 tenants across NSW. 


 


The role undertakes project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects, including but not limited to, Fire Safety Program (FSP), Change of Use (COU), Property Assessment Survey (PAS), Detailed Property Assessment Survey (DPAS) and the like. The role also coordinates with various internal and external stakeholders (eg. councils, consultants, builders) as and when required in providing effective support to the managers in resolving complex issues (eg. Fire Safety Orders, complaints).


 


What you’ll do


 


Bringing your finely tuned organisational skills, you will:


 



  • Provide a range of project management and support services including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to ensure accessibility of quality information and contribute to the achievement of project outcomes, and support effective decision making

  • Identify and interpret relevant statutory provisions and prepare clear procedures for staff to provide clarity in the performance of their role

  • Undertake the evaluation of operational policy and procedures to assess appropriateness, effectiveness and efficiency, and to determine the need for corrective action and review

  • Undertake research, evaluation and analysis to identify emerging issues and prepare recommendations to resolve policy or process issues and inform program activities

  • Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information to support policy and legislative requirements for the delivery of divisional activities.


 


What we’re looking for


 



  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.



  • Proven ability to manage or support complex projects, including the preparation of reports, resource coordination, and maintaining project documentation.  



  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.  



  • Sound understanding of project management principles, with a focus on delivering results within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment where you will be self-motivated and highly organised.

  • Previous experience working within fire safety industry would be highly advantageous.
