Job Description - Project Officer - Court Services - Drug Court



Job Title: Project Officer (Grade 7/8) - Drug Court of NSW


 



  • Location – Sydney CBD (Flexible working arrangements available)



  • Employment type – Temporary opportunity until Feb 2027– Part-Time (14 hrs per week)

  • Work days – Must be available to work either Monday & Tuesday or Tuesday & Wednesday



  • Salary – Clerk Grade 7/8, $113,574 - $125,720 plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading


 


Your role 


 


As part of the Drug Court of New South Wales Executive team, you will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple projects, managing resources, documentation, and communication to ensure successful outcomes.


 


You will work collaboratively with a diverse team supporting the Drug Court Executive Officers’, Drug Court Judiciary, and service delivery across a unique therapeutic jurisdiction. The office culture is supportive and collaborative, with a focus on clear communication and efficient problem-solving to achieve project goals.


 


What you’ll do 


 


As part of the Executive team, you will:



  • Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple projects, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and budgets.

  • Maintain project documentation, track progress, and prepare reports for stakeholders and evaluation purposes.

  • Communicate with key stakeholders and support committees, and consultations with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project and innovation execution.

  • Assist with research and analysis to support informed decision-making and effective project planning and innovation. 

  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support the work of the Drug Court of New South Wales.


 


What we’re looking for 


 



  • Ability to deliver results with skills in supporting digital solutions.

  • A self-motivated learner with curiosity about the Drug Court’s therapeutic jurisdiction, and a willingness to learn new skills and apply feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing for diverse audiences or an interest in design, writing, and publication creation.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities, demonstrate attention to detail, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of and/or an interest in working within a criminal justice setting in a therapeutic jurisdiction.

  • Experience with or an interest in learning website design and maintenance using AEM and creating collaborative working environments using SharePoint.
