Job Description - Senior Azure Cloud Experts - NV1

Job description

We're currently looking for experienced Azure Cloud Architects and Engineers to join a large-scale cloud transformation and infrastructure modernisation program.

These roles will focus on designing, building, and supporting secure, scalable hybrid cloud environments across on-premises and Azure platforms, while working closely with engineering, security, DevOps, and program teams on mission-critical projects.

Sydney / Melbourne / Canberra or Adelaide

Key Responsibilities

Support and deliver large-scale migrations from on-prem infrastructure to Azure
Design, build, and implement Azure-native and hybrid cloud solutions
Develop and maintain cloud landing zones, governance frameworks, and architecture standards
Work closely with engineering, DevOps, networking, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery
Drive Infrastructure as Code and automation practices using Terraform, ARM, Bicep, and Ansible
Support CI/CD pipelines, automation, and containerised environments using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS
Assist with infrastructure assessments, cloud optimisation, monitoring, and modernisation initiatives
Contribute to cloud security, identity management, compliance, and operational best practices
Engage with stakeholders and delivery teams across complex enterprise environments

Skills & Experience

Strong experience across Azure cloud engineering, architecture, or infrastructure delivery
Experience working within hybrid cloud and enterprise-scale environments
Knowledge of Azure networking, security, governance, and identity management
Hands-on experience with automation, scripting, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps tooling
Exposure to cloud migration and modernisation projects
Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure AD, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud, and related technologies
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience working within Agile and DevOps environments
Microsoft Azure certifications highly regarded
NV1 Clearance required
