Solutions Architect - Financial Services

DWS is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join a major enterprise financial services environment , supporting large-scale, business-critical platforms.
Experience within wealth management, superannuation or broader financial services domains is highly regarded. Formal architecture certifications (e.g. TOGAF), mainframe integration experience, and advanced AI delivery experience across AWS and/or Azure will be strongly valued.
This role will work closely with delivery teams, architects, engineers and senior business stakeholders to design and govern high-quality solutions across complex financial services systems .

Length: 12 months (with possibility of extension)
Style: Hybrid; 2-3 days onsite
Salary: Up to $225k (including super), dependent on experience

Key responsibilities include:

• Development of solution designs aligned to enterprise IT strategy, architecture standards and financial services governance requirements
• Providing architectural leadership across solution delivery from analysis through to implementation
• Assessing, articulating and recommending solution options for complex problem spaces
• Preparing solution architecture documentation and artefacts for review and formal governance
• Supporting solution reviews and contributing to architecture forums and standards
• Identifying and resolving solution risks and issues during delivery
• Engaging and influencing internal and external stakeholders in a regulated enterprise environment
• Ensuring solutions are secure, reliable, scalable, observable and cost-efficient

To be successful, you will bring:

• Significant experience working as a Solutions Architect within large financial services or regulated enterprise environments
• Expert capability designing conceptual and applied architectures
• Deep experience with cloud-native platforms and modern DevOps / CI/CD architectures
• Strong hands-on experience designing and delivering AI-enabled solutions, including AI agents, LLM pipelines or intelligent automation platforms
• Strong experience across application and integration technologies
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences
• Strong stakeholder engagement and presentation skills
• Solid understanding of IT architecture principles and SDLC processes
• Relevant technology qualifications or equivalent experience
