About the role
The Vascular Registrar is a valued member of the Vascular Surgery team, working closely with the Vascular Surgeons to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred care. The role involves the day-to-day management of vascular inpatients, participating in consultant ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and operating theatre sessions, while ensuring accurate clinical documentation and continuity of care.
Working collaboratively with patients, families and multidisciplinary team members, the Vascular Registrar supports coordinated clinical decision-making and positive patient outcomes. The role also involves providing supervision and support to Hospital Medical Officers (HMOs), contributing to their development and ensuring key clinical tasks are completed in a timely manner.
The Vascular Registrar is expected to be readily contactable during rostered and on-call periods and to actively contribute to Eastern Health's culture of patient safety and continuous improvement through incident reporting, participation in meetings, and quality improvement activities.

To be successful in this role you will possess:
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
