ABOUT US

The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities.  We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better.  It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.

About the role

This role sits within the national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Ministry Team and serves as a key contact point for divisional NSW engagement. The successful candidate will provide cultural insight, support, and guidance to build cultural capability and advance reconciliation across The Salvation Army's mission expressions.

This is a full-time, maximum term role until October 2026, located in Redfern, NSW.

This position is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates only as The Salvation Army considers being an Aboriginal and a Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational requirement for the position under section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
