Accounts Receivable/Finance Officer

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance/Accounts Receivable Officer to join a well-established organisation within a dynamic and collaborative finance environment. This role sits within a high-performing Finance Shared Services team, supporting reconciliations, billing operations, customer accounts, and financial processes across the business.
Your new role
Reporting to the Shared Services Manager, you will be responsible for complex reconciliations as well as supporting AR with accurate billing, timely collections, and strong stakeholder engagement. This is a varied position with exposure to system processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities

Perform bank reconciliations (AUD and foreign currency) and investigate variances
Manage invoicing, receipting, and allocation of customer paymentsHandle customer queries, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong relationships
Maintain customer master data and financial system integrity
Support month-end and year-end AR processes and reporting
Monitor and resolve invoice or system errors, including automated billing processes
Administer corporate credit card programs and ensure policy compliance
Assist with journals, accruals, and financial adjustments
Identify and implement process improvements within AR functions
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience as a Finance Officer - transactional processing and reconciling large amounts of data
Strong understanding of finance principles and AR processes
Experience with ERP systems
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
High attention to detail and strong analytical capability
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
