Turning Point is a leading alcohol and other drug centre with a large clinical team across several sites. This role will be based at our Turning Point Statewide Services site in Richmond, Eastern clinical service sites in Box Hill and Ringwood, and will involve working across multidisciplinary outpatient clinics in opioid pharmacotherapy and management of cooccurring addiction and mental health conditions. The trainee will also get experience in psychotherapy, exposure to research and clinical trials (such as psychedelic assisted therapy.) and will contribute to the Hamilton Centre, a Victoria wide initiative to build capacity in the management of co-occurring disorders. All registrar positions at Turning Point are accredited for addiction psychiatry training with supervision from staff addiction psychiatrists.

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
