About the role
We have an exciting part-time opportunity for an Allied Health Assistant to join our Care@Home Community Health program, based at Healesville and other outreach sites. As part of the dynamic Health & Ageing Team you will play a key role in delivering both individual and group-based therapy to adults living in the community.
This position works within the adult physiotherapy team. You will work directly with clients as delegated by the Grade 2 and Grade 3 Physiotherapists to deliver safe, evidence based therapeutic interventions including individual therapy and exercise group programs, face to face or via telehealth/phone. There is also an element of administration support and resource development.
You’ll have regular engagement with the Health & Ageing Physiotherapists and other Allied Health team members to support your ongoing professional development and clinical supervision. You will work directly with the team to complete the Department of Health’s four core competencies for AHAs of individual therapy, group therapy, communication of patient information and equipment and environment as well as competencies directly related to the relevant population of clients at community health.
