The Role


Due to continued growth within our business, we are currently seeking an Emulsion Plant Operator to join the Kalgoorlie team in WA, on a 5/2 roster.


Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture of Emulsion products, along with all associated plant and equipment operations.


This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your skills and knowledge within a well-respected mining explosives company.


 


key duties include:



  • Operating Equipment: Operators control and monitor machinery involved in the production process, such as reactors, prill towers, and granulators, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

  • Monitoring and Adjusting Processes: They keep an eye on various parameters like temperature, pressure, and flow rates, making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal production conditions.

  • Quality Control: Operators conduct routine checks and tests to ensure the ammonium nitrate meets quality standards, adjusting processes if necessary to address any inconsistencies.

  • Safety Management: A crucial part of their job is maintaining strict safety protocols, including monitoring for potential hazards, performing safety checks, and adhering to environmental and safety regulations.

  • Inventory and Supply Management: They manage raw material inputs and track product outputs, ensuring the right materials are in place to meet production targets.


 


About you


You will have the ability to work autonomously and assist the site in complying with and improving systems, ensuring a smooth and effortless process. You will be a committed team player with a strong emphasis on safety, customer service and achieving results.


 


To be successful in this role; you will also demonstrate:



  • Forklift Licence (essential)

  • National Police Clearance (essential)

  • Drivers Licence (essential)

  • Dangerous Goods Security Card

  • Computer literacy

  • Excellent problem-solving / troubleshooting skills, and ability to prioritise duties

  • Strong focus and leadership on all facets of Health, Safety and Environment
