Love solving technical problems and improving the way technology supports people?
The opportunity:
Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) is looking for an Application Support Engineer to join our growing Software Engineering team.
This is more than a traditional application support role. You'll work at the intersection of software, cloud platforms and operations—supporting researchers, maintaining business-critical applications and helping build the operational foundations that keep our technology running reliably.
If you enjoy improving processes, solving technical challenges and working across modern web applications and cloud technologies, we'd love to hear from you!
About your new role
Reporting to the Head of Software Engineering, you'll provide hands-on business-as-usual support across a diverse portfolio of web applications, cloud platforms, databases and operational services.
Working closely with researchers, developers and cloud engineers, you will troubleshoot issues, manage application support requests, coordinate patching and monitoring activities, improve documentation and help establish best-practice operational processes as the Software Engineering team continues to grow.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a few years' experience who wants to broaden their technical skills while working in a collaborative engineering environment.
