Aquatic Programs - Lifeguard

As a Lifeguard at UniActive, you’ll be keeping our patrons safe, supporting our Swim School programs and helping families and members. Located on UOW campus you will play a key role in keeping our Aquatics Centre safe, welcoming and running smoothly including:

• Keeping a vigilant eye on the pool and proactively identifying and managing risks.
• Responding confidently to incidents and providing First Aid when required.
• Supporting the delivery of our Learn to Swim, Stroke Development and Squad programs.
• Helping create safe and fun experiences for pool parties and aquatic activities.
• Supporting the delivery of our Learn to Swim, Stroke Development and Squad programs.
• Helping create safe and fun experiences for pool parties and aquatic activities.
• Completing water quality testing and assisting with basic pool plant operations.

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings energy, professionalism and a genuine passion for helping people. You will have:

• A current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• A current First Aid Certificate
• A current CPR Certificate
• Experience in lifeguarding and pool operations
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• A valid Working With Children Check – Worker
• Availability to work weekends
