Job Description - ASO3 Service Desk Officer

ICT Service Desk Officer | Adelaide CBD | 6+ Month Contract Your new company
Join a dynamic and fast-paced organisation delivering high-quality ICT services to internal stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative service desk team that values customer experience, continuous improvement, and professional development.

Your new role
As an ICT Service Desk Officer, you will be the first point of contact for users, providing responsive and effective technical support. You will play a critical role in delivering excellent service, resolving incidents, and ensuring a seamless user experience.Key responsibilities include:
  • Deliver proactive customer support, resolving incidents and fulfilling service requests efficiently
  • Manage incoming calls and emails in a structured and professional manner
  • Provide support for standard desktop applications and approved software, achieving high first-call resolution rates
  • Escalate incidents appropriately while maintaining ownership through to resolution
  • Maintain accurate documentation within call and knowledge management systems
  • Perform user administration and general administrative tasks as required
  • Meet agreed KPIs relating to response and resolution times
  • Develop strong knowledge of service desk processes, tools, and service level agreements
What you'll need to succeed
Essential skills and experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven problem-solving ability with strong investigative and analytical skills
  • Experience working in an ICT service desk or similar environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Technical knowledge
  • Familiarity with standard desktop applications and systems
Desirable
  • ITIL Foundation certification
