Salary: Departmental Professional Officer, Grade 5 $146,831 - $149,739 per annum + super + leave loading.
We are creating a Talent Pool to fill future ongoing and temporary opportunities, both full-time and part-time, as they arise over the next 18 months.
What you’ll do
As an Assessor you will, under delegation of the Commissioner of Victims’ Rights, assess and determine applications for victims support within the provisions of the Victims Rights & Support Act 2013.
Applications are decided in accordance with legislation, policies, procedures, administrative law principles and service standards. The Assessor has a high level of discretion in making their decisions.
The role provides applicants with individualised written decisions setting out the reasons for the decision. The written decisions are made in accordance with administrative law principles, including sufficiency of reasons, and show an understanding of therapeutic jurisprudence.
