Asset Location Officer

About the role

Level 6 - base salary of $99,632 per annum (plus super) 

Join a hardworking field delivery team that plays a key role in protecting Tasmania’s underground network assets. We’re looking for a reliable and committed Asset Location Officer who is passionate about safety, accuracy and delivering great service to our people and customers.

In this role, you’ll work with TasNetworks field teams and contractors to:

• Liaise on underground service locations


• Provide accurate plans, maps and service information


• Locate and mark underground assets to prevent damage


• Assist with underground fault location


• Respond to faults safely and promptly


• Contribute to an efficient, adaptable, get-it-done team environment

About you

You’re self-motivated, practical, and confident working on your own in the field as well as alongside the team. You communicate clearly, build solid working relationships, and follow procedures to get the job done safely and correctly.

You will also bring:

• Experience with fault finding


• Basic computer skills


• SAP experience (desirable)


• Relevant licences and qualifications including: RIICCM202D – Identify, Locate and Protect Underground Services, White Card, Current Driver’s Licence, Instructed Person qualification
