Job Description - Assistant Centre Director/Educational Leader

This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic 2IC/Educational Leader to join an exceeding-rated early learning centre in Greensborough.

About the role

We are looking for a strong, aspiring, or experienced leader with experience in a similar setting.

Our ideal candidate will be driven to support the Centre Director in building and maintaining an outstanding learning environment. Children enjoy delightful indoor and outdoor play areas, rooms with the latest age-appropriate technology and learning resources, and various fun activities.

At capacity, the centre caters to just over 70 children, and its operating hours are between 7 am and 6:30 pm.

The non-negotiables

  • Minimum one year of experience mentoring a team as an Assistant Director.
  • A minimum Diploma qualification, ideally higher.
  • A sound understanding and application of the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Experience in overseeing and implementing a program based on children's needs and interests.
  • A strong understanding of compliance and of National Quality Standards (NQF).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound experience in supporting the staff management of a medium to large childcare service.
  • The ability to manage and lead community engagement.
