Associate, Mechanical Engineer - Building Services

Join WSP’s growing Building Services team in Perth and play a key role in delivering some of WA’s most technically challenging and high-profile projects.

This opportunity suits an experienced Mechanical Engineer ready to step into a senior or associate-level role, where you’ll take ownership of design delivery, build trusted client relationships, and mentor emerging engineers.

The Opportunity

You’ll be part of a high-performing, collaborative team delivering mechanical building services design across sectors including commercial, health, defence, infrastructure and data centres.

Working closely with our local team and national network, you’ll contribute to projects from concept through to detailed design—ensuring quality, performance and practical outcomes.

What you'll do

• Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services packages
• Take ownership of technical quality, coordination and documentation
• Work directly with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
• Contribute to project planning, risk management and delivery outcomes

About you

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
• 6+ years’ experience within building services consulting
• Strong technical capability across HVAC systems and building services design
• Experience delivering complex projects across multiple sectors
• Confident leading design packages and engaging with stakeholders
• Chartered / CPEng (or working towards) highly regarded
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
