You’ll join the Business Banking Audit team, which covers:

• Everyday Business Banking (Deposits, Merchants, Digital, Payments)
• Business Lending (Asset Finance, Property Finance, Corporate Finance)
• CommSec
   

Our work spans customer-facing teams across Small Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Regional & Agribusiness Banking, and Major Client Group.
 

Your Impact
 

In this role, you’ll play a critical part in strengthening risk management and delivering meaningful insights across CommBank’s Business Banking portfolio. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to ensure robust governance and help shape strategic decisions. Responsibilities include:

Delivering Assurance & Insights

• Provide objective assurance on risk management and controls to senior leaders.
• Share commercial insights that influence business decisions and drive improvement.
   

Lead Audit Delivery

• Assist in building a dynamic, risk-based Audit Plan.
• Deliver audits aligned with CBA’s methodology, using data analytics and digital tools for deeper insights.
• Draft and validate audit findings with accuracy and clarity.
   

Drive Quality & Innovation

• Support quality assurance reviews and embed feedback for continuous improvement.
• Champion innovation by applying new ideas and leveraging technology.
   

Engage & Influence Stakeholders

• Build strong relationships across Business Banking and CommSec.
• Communicate complex issues clearly and persuasively to senior executives.
   

Contribute to Strategic Risk Management

• Monitor emerging risks and trends to provide early insights.
• Participate in thematic audits and benchmarking exercises.
   

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

• Demonstrated experience as an Audit Manager in Financial Services, Big 4, or banking with an understanding of operational, credit, market and regulatory risks.
• Deliver audits on risks and controls while integrating customer experience and process improvement insights (Operational Excellence experience)
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills with familiarity with Tableau or Alteryx.
• Excellent verbal, written communication skills and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
• Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
• CPA or CA accreditation.
