Your new role
As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation's cyber remediation efforts. You will be responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving cloud-related vulnerabilities and infrastructure issues across AWS environments.You will work hands-on across AWS services to ensure environments are secure, compliant, and optimised, taking ownership of remediation activities end-to-end.Key Responsibilities

• Analyse, troubleshoot, and remediate AWS infrastructure issues across services such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, and more
• Identify and address misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and operational risks within cloud environments
• Implement and enforce cloud security best practices and frameworks (CIS, AWS Well-Architected Framework, Zero Trust)
• Take ownership of the remediation life cycle - from risk identification through to resolution
• Support and enhance the organisation's overall cloud security posture
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of remediation outcomes
• Drive continuous improvement through a proactive and self-driven approach

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven hands-on experience working within AWS cloud environments
• Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure remediation and optimisation
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles and frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage and resolve complex issues
• Experience supporting cybersecurity or remediation programmes
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
• Relevant certifications are highly regarded:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • AWS Security Specialty
  • CISSP or equivalent
