W Sydney is now casting for Bartenders for our Pool Bar and Living Room Bar to focus on customer service and cocktail elaboration (both Full Time and Part Time opportunities available). Collaborating closely with the venue management, this integral role will focus on creating unique and vibrant experiences for our guests.

JOB SUMMARY

The primary responsibility includes supervising daily beverage operations and assists with beverage offerings and upsells, menu planning and assists the talent on the floor during peak service periods. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction. Determines training needed to accomplish goals, then implements plan.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

The core responsibilities include:  

• Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations and taking drink orders. 


• Learning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials. 


• Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses and serving beverages to customers. 


• Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol. 


• Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked. 


• Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations. 


• Handling cash, credit and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register. 


• Follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures. 


• Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils and equipment. 


• Developing new cocktail recipes. 


• Upsell and recommend signature beverages to the guests.
