About the Role
We’re passionate about the energy transition, dedicated to customer satisfaction, and committed to delivering innovative energy solutions that evolve with our clients' needs.
We are seeking a driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager to lead new business growth across the North Brisbane and surrounding region. This is a pure hunter role, focused on identifying, pursuing, and securing new customers across SME, commercial and industrial segments.
You’ll bring a proactive and strategic approach to building a strong pipeline, engaging decision-makers, and converting opportunities into long-term value for both the customer and Origin.

Deliver with impact: Take ownership of new customer acquisition, driving volume, revenue and margin growth across your territory
Win the right business: Identify and prioritise opportunities that deliver sustainable value for both the customer and the business
Build a strong pipeline: Develop and execute targeted prospecting strategies, including cold calling and market mapping
Negotiate with purpose: Lead commercial negotiations with new customers to secure long-term, mutually beneficial outcomes
Collaborate for success: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and delivery of solutions
Own the growth agenda: Focus exclusively on new business, building a high-quality customer base across Origin related products and services
Drive implementation: Prepare business cases and support onboarding of new accounts.

You’re a proactive and commercially minded sales professional who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities and winning new business. You know how to focus your effort where it will have the most impact, and you bring the drive to work autonomously while staying connected to the broader team.
