As a Business Development Manager, you'll be at the forefront of that mission—building strong relationships, generating new business opportunities, and helping advice practices unlock the full value of our market-leading Wrap Platform solutions.


 


This is an opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional who thrives on creating new opportunities, influencing decision-makers, and building long-term partnerships within the financial advice industry.


 


What you'll be doing


You'll be responsible for growing our Wrap Platform business across your territory by identifying, converting and developing new adviser relationships while strengthening existing partnerships.


 


You'll:



  • Build and execute strategic business development plans to grow adviser networks, AFSL partnerships and market share.

  • Identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities across your territory.

  • Partner with financial advisers to understand their businesses and position Insignia Financial's solutions to meet their clients' needs.

  • Deliver engaging presentations, education sessions and sales initiatives to individuals and adviser groups.

  • Develop strong territory and account plans, including structured 90-day growth plans.

  • Manage your sales pipeline and opportunities through Salesforce, ensuring disciplined activity and follow-through.

  • Provide valuable market and client insights that help shape our products, value proposition and distribution strategy.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Distribution and the broader business to achieve shared growth objectives.

  • Champion a positive, high-performing sales culture while maintaining the highest standards of compliance, professionalism and risk management.


 


What you'll bring


You'll be an experienced business development professional with a passion for building relationships and achieving commercial outcomes.


 


You'll ideally have:



  • RG146 compliance and Diploma of Financial Planning (or equivalent).

  • 3–7 years' experience in business development within financial services, with a strong record of achieving sales targets.

  • Experience developing new adviser relationships and converting new business opportunities.

  • A solid understanding of financial advice businesses, investment structures and platform solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of the Australian financial planning industry and adviser marketplace.

  • Excellent relationship management, presentation and influencing skills.

  • A commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and create tailored solutions.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • A collaborative approach and a genuine desire to contribute to team success.

  • The agility to adapt to changing market conditions while maintaining a strong client focus.
