Our Food Service and Convenience business encompasses our wholesale, foodservices and distribution services across the Campbells Wholesale, Superior Food Services, and Independent Grocers brands – servicing small to medium businesses right across Australia. Joining the Food Service and Convenience business at Metcash means the work you do contributes to brands with real purpose, empowering independent businesses and strengthening local communities across Australia.


 


About the Opportunity


We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as a Business Development Representative based on the Sunshine Coast. The Business Development Representative is responsible for maximizing the profitable sales of products by providing a serviced total supply solution to nominated existing key account customers and identify new markets to diversify and actively grow the total Campbells Branch customer base. Initiate and develop new business across all nominated areas and identify opportunities throughout the FMCG and Foodservice categories.


 


In this Role



  • Ensure compliance with the Grocery Code of Conduct.

  • Seek out new initiatives and opportunities to develop business

  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships as well as managing customer relationships to maximize overall sales potential

  • Introduce new categories to existing customers

  • Achieve Budgeted sales & margin in line with budget document

  • Manage contract pricing by customer and review as necessary

  • Continuously look for ways to meet and exceed customer expectations


 


 


You’re Likely a Match If



  • Proven sales experience with a strong focus on customer service excellence

  • Solid understanding of the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • In-depth knowledge of the Sunshine Coast market

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Skilled in data analysis to support business insights and decision-making
