Casual Shopping Centre Security Officer – Shellharbour, NSW

Kickstart or continue your career in security with a nationally trusted provider. We’re seeking reliable, well-presented, and customer-focused Security Officers to join our team at a busy retail shopping centre in Shellharbour.

This is a casual roving role with genuine opportunities to transition into a permanent full-time position for the right candidate.

About the Role

As a Shopping Centre Security Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for retailers, staff, and customers. This is a dynamic roving position suited to individuals who enjoy being visible, proactive, and engaging.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting regular foot patrols throughout the shopping centre

• Providing a strong customer service presence and assisting members of the public

• Monitoring and responding to incidents, hazards, and emergencies

• Liaising with centre management, retailers, and emergency services when required

• Completing accurate incident and daily reports

• Ensuring centre rules, procedures, and safety protocols are followed

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for motivated individuals who demonstrate:

• Strong customer service skills with a professional and approachable manner

• Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced or challenging situations

• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic

• Previous security or retail security experience (highly regarded but not essential)

Requirements

You must have:

• Valid NSW Security Licence

• First Aid Certificate

• Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol screening

• Full Australian working rights
